HEALTH PRECAUTIONS

THIS IS A LIVING DOCUMENT AND WILL BE UPDATED REGULARLY

SMALL BATCH & PRIVATE YOGA

No changes here, I have always gravitated toward events and classes in intimate groups. I have believed in the power of small group connections my whole career. Now small sizes play easily into appropriate distancing.

prop policy

I disinfect loaner mats and props prior to each use. On retreat, we also have a private-mat policy. Your name will be stickered to the mat you use the first day to assure that it is your mat throughout the week.

All mats provided will be the Manduka PRO series mats for their ease of disinfecting. Manduka states that this series is their “cleanest mat ever” with a moisture resistant-surface that won’t absorb sweat and bacteria and a ‘closed-cell material’ that won’t harbor germs.

Open Air

Any studios I use for yoga events or private lessons now accommodate as much fresh air circulation as the location allows (ie I don’t want you to freeze!). Retreats follow local guidelines for sanitation and mask-wearing. Social distancing will be practiced with any indoor activity, and weather permitting we can practice outside.

Practice pods

When in a yoga space we account for distance between each person. On retreat, you’ll only practice with the same small group you’ve been with all retreat, and me. At regular intervals, windows and doors to the studio will open to refresh the room.

Mindful Health & Sanitation

Sanitation process in studios, rooms, kitchens and restaurants happens prior to your arrival on retreat. Kitchen staff for catered meals operate in accordance with local government requirements. Sanitizer will be provided in most locations around the retreat center, but you will still need your own.

All participants are required to report any adverse health symptoms immediately, and to contact me with any adverse symptoms 10 days prior to departure. Anyone experiencing symptoms during an event or class will be asked to leave, and will need a doctor’s approval before rejoining the group.

Participants must have a negative test result for Covid-19 1-3 days prior to the first day of retreat, or have been fully vaccinated.
