The idea of Silent Yoga is taking yoga out of the studio and into our natural surroundings. Have you heard of "Silent Disco"? It's a system that uses a transmitter to send a signal (music) on a specific frequency to our designated headphones. Usually the system is used for dancing, but for these events we will bring the yoga studio outdoors -- where you can feel the sun on your pineal and the wind in your hair. We have microphone capabilities that will allow you to hear the instruction and a bed of music. As the headphones are noise cancelling, you will be completely submerged in the environment and your practice. What bliss!
We will be meeting in the roses at Peninsula Park so you can experience the beauty of all 5 senses in an amazing outdoor setting.
Please bring a $10 donation for these events, and arrive early to stretch and guarantee headphones. $5 for headphones and $5 for instruction.
This week's event will begin at 6pm with an hour long yoga session led by Fawn, followed by 20-30 mins of chill music to finish out the experience.
Do you have chronic tension in your lower back, tight calves or IT bands, “knots” in your shoulders? Interested in learning how to do effective self-massage? Foam Rollers are used to soften, stretch and re-align the muscles in these areas in order to relieve tension, promote recovery and prepare the body for additional training. Learn how to property use a foam roller with exercises that you can do at home to reduce tightness, increase flexibility and strengthen your core. Using a foam roller has many of the same benefits as massage, and best of all you can learn to use one on your own, whenever you like!
$55 includes foam roller, $35 without

Lead by Fawn & Cally Fruscello, Holistic Health Coach & Personal Chef this workshop teaches mamas how to use yoga and nutrition for proactive self-care. Just as it can take a while to process our birth experiences, it can also take time for our bodies to heal. You'll learn how to use yogic movement to feel more energetic and less stagnant, and how to choose foods that support your body's natural restorative process.
Through core movement, pranayama, twists, and hip-opening postures, we can encourage and support the natural processes of digestion and elimination. Through our intake of whole and raw foods, less sugar, and more probiotics, we can support the lymphatic system and stimulate the immune response.
Fawn has practiced yoga since childhood, and has taught yoga in Portland since 2008. She teaches Prenatal, Hatha, and Vinyasa classes with an emphasis on therapeutics and mindfulness. "As a yoga instructor and new mom, I am driven to address the need for more postpartum care. Please join us, mingle with other mamas, learn some new poses, and leave with safe, accessible tools that you can practice at home."
This workshop is not an advanced yoga class, but previous yoga experience is helpful. Tea and light snacks provided.
